Margaret "Lucille" Strickland, 70, of El Dorado, died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Strickland was born on Jan. 28, 1937, in Soper, Okla., to James Leonard Johnson and Bertha Viney Holder.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Smackover. She was formerly a nurse at Warner Brown Hospital for 20 years and retired from South Arkansas Regional Health Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Orlin Strickland.
She is survived by a son, Eddie Cole and wife, Kathy, of Junction City; a daughter, Cathey Griffin and husband, Johnny, of El Dorado; a stepson, Gary Strickland and wife, Belinda, of Smackover; four grandsons, Craig Griffin and wife, Cathey, Jesse Cole, Lane Griffin and wife, Lindsey, and David Cole and wife, Felicia; one special granddaughter, Courtney Renee; and five great-grandchildren, Reece, Braden, Kyla and Peyton Griffin and Christopher Cole.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Young's Chapel. Internment will be in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors in El Dorado.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 W. 12th, Smackover, AR 71762.
The family will be at the Griffin residence, 601 Ables Drive, in El Dorado.
