Elijah Monroe Waller, 77, of the Marysville community, Magnolia Route 2, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home. Born Aug. 5, 1888, in Summerfield, La., he was the son of James and Virginia Barber Waller. He was a retired salesman for the Coca Cola Co. and had lived in Marysville for eight years. He was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church and the Modern Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Laura Rush Waller of Marysville; a son, Frank Waller of El Dorado; a daughter, Mrs. Floy Bradham of El Dorado; three brothers, Otto Waller of Amarillo, Tex., Abner Waller of El Dorado, Okla., and Emmett Waller of Ontario, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Carie Dell Coke of Lubbock, Tex., and Mrs. Mrs. Ira Stanley of Lexington, Tex.; two grandsons and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bethel Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Mann and Rev. Noel Cross officiating. Burial will be in the Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Young's. The family will be at 187 N. Broadway in El Dorado. Active pallbearers will be Dot Goza, Roy Smith, Collie McWilliams, W. C. Lea, T. M. Tucker, Sr., and Abner Wood. (The El Dorado Times - July 30, 1966)
