Effie May Williams, daughter of John and Emma Young, was born Aug. 10, 1885 in Carroll County, Arkansas and departed this Life Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Carroll General Hospital, Berryville, Ark. at the age of 86 years, six months and three days. Her home was Route 2, Eureka Springs, Ark.
She was united in marriage to Oscar Hamblin who preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage to Jess Williams who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Fay Hamblin of route 2, Eureka Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Calvin Young of Seligman and Harold Young of Enid, Okla.; three sisters, Madge Bouyear of Beaver, Ark., Ida Darity of route 2, Eureka Springs, Ark., and Allie Taylor of Seligman; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She had professed her hope in Christ and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. last Wednesday at the Nelson Funeral Chapel in Berryville, Ark. with Rev. Wendell Nichols officiating. Interment was in the Keen-Roller Cemetery near Gateway, Ark. under the direction of the Nelson Funeral Home.
