John T. Withrow Rites Conducted at Huntsville
Huntsville, Feb. 16 - Funeral services for John T. Withrow were conducted at the Baptist church Sunday with military services following at Huntsville cemetery.
Mr. Withrow was born May 18, 1893 near Huntsville and enlisted at Camp Pike on May 17, 1917 and served with Machine Gun Company 323 of the 81st division with the rank of corporal. He served overseas for 10 months and ten days.
Mr. Withrow was killed instantly on Saturday, Feb. 7 when he was struck by an automobile in Fullerton, Calif.

Mrs. Nora O. Withrow, 86, of Huntsville, died Nov. 14 at Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 15, 1895, at Huntsville, she was the daughter of John and Mary Jane Boyd Parker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, John Withrow of Huntsville; two daughters, Mrs. Glyndon (Helen) Johnson and Mrs. Afton (Willa Jean) Smith of Huntsville; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Auslam of Huntsville; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Brashears Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial was in the Huntsville Cemetery.

Mary Lou Withrow, age two and a half years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Withrow, died of croup Saturday at their home in this city. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Jake Drake and Jerry Simpson in the Community church at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Huntsville cemetery.

John Thomas Withrow Jr., 82, of Huntsville died Jan. 8, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Huntsville to John Thomas and Nora O'Neil Parker Withrow. He was retired from Huntsville TV Cable and was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother-in-law, Afton V. Smith of Huntsville; two nephews, Randy Smith of Huntsville and Rickey Smith of Joplin, Mo.; one niece, Susan Bates of Huntsville; several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with the Rev. Bud Pulley officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery. Veterans honors will be conducted by the Army.
Pallbearers will be Shane Smith, Brenton Smith, Brandon Morgan, Jason Combs, Tim Smith and Steve Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Hardage, Scott Bates and James Hepler.
