Oma M. Hays Burress, 90, of Pleasant Plains died Sunday, June 2, 2013 in Searcy.
She was born September 29, 1922 in Pleasant Plains, the daughter of Marcus E. Hays and Maggie Fuller Hays.
She enjoyed working outside, especially gardening; quilting, and caring for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Flippo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Royal H. Burress; and brother, Marcus Dean Hays.
Survivors include two sons, Royal Burress of Batesville and Kenny Burress of Pleasant Plains; four grandchildren, Missy Fox of Jamestown, Sissy Ford of Sulphur Rock, Keven Burress of Little Rock and Kristi Whitener of Maumelle; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Flippo Chapel Missionary Baptist Church officiated by Verlon Wood and Joe Helms.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2013 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at McMullin Cemetery in Pleasant Plains by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Joey Hays, Matt Hays, Morris Wood, Ronnie Westbrook, David Daughtry and Scott Gay.
