Mr. Harold R. Havins, age 88, a resident of Lockesburg, AR died Saturday, December 13, 2008 in Texarkana, TX.
He was born August 9, 1920 in Haworth, OK to Thomas and Margaret Rino Havins. He was a farmer, served in the U.S. Army during WWII and a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Terry Havins; a son, Terry Lynn Havins; a brother, Floyd Havins; his sisters, Helen Ruth Ebert, Betty Gregg and Marguerite Crowell.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Sue Laws of Salado, TX; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Patsy Havins of Lockesburg; Mozell Nall of Little Rock, AR; four grandchildren, Gregg Laws, Gina Hunter, Lisa Clement, and Christi Jordan; five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Havins will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Redmen Cemetery.
