FAYETTEVILLE - Evelyn Marie Wight, 89, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Willard Walker Hospice House. She was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Solvay, N.Y., the daughter of Lucy Storring and Roy Wells

She had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 50 years after moving from Carson, Calif. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, watching movies, working crossword puzzles, and shopping. She had been a past member of the PTA, Band Boosters, and card clubs.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children; Lindon Walton Ford, her second husband; Harvey Wight, and she was the last of the six siblings. Evelyn is survived by two sons; Robert Ford and his wife Joyce, of Blue Springs, Mo., Christopher Ford and his partner Loyd Staggs of Fayetteville, two grandchildren; Laura Ford-Arunakul and Shawn Bryant Ford, three great-grandchildren; Sarunya Arunakul, Kyle James Ford, and Logan Bryant Ford.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10-10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Fayetteville. The celebration of Evelyn's Life will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery located in Springdale. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bob (Robert) Ford, David Garrett, Bryan Ford, Lindell Mabey, Pete Smith, and Steve Harvil. Memorials may be sent to: The Alzheimer's Association, Willard Walker Hospice House, or The Humane Society of Benton County. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home Fayetteville.
