Mary Ann Little Donohoe, 89, of Magnolia died Monday, December 24, 2018 at her residence.
She was born October 21, 1929 in El Dorado and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church and through her community service she visited hundreds of widows and shut-ins and knitted afghans for nursing home residents. Prior to her ill health, she enjoyed working in her flower beds and backyard bird watching.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Gaillard and Zelma Idell (Cutrer) Newton; first husband, Maurice Little; and second husband, Henry Thomas Donohoe.
She is survived by her son, Newton Little (Linda) of Little Rock; daughters, Lydia Smith (Derrill) of El Dorado, and Leah Gann (Steve) of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Courtney Little (Erika) of Little Rock, Chris Little (Cristina) of Fayetteville, Lindsey Gray (Brandon) of Little Rock, Scott Smith (Ashley) of Knoxville, TN, Jeff Smith of Fayetteville, Chris Gann (Krystal) of Clinton, MS, Landa Gann of Lafayette, LA; and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 27 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with a graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Robert Gunnels officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., in Magnolia.
The family wishes to thank the loving care of her special friends, Larry Crank and Becky Dianis, and her caregivers Alice, Irene, Joyce and Mary.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
