When Jewell Naomi Turner was born on January 1, 1922, in Conway, Arkansas, her father, Clyde, was 34, and her mother, Maudie, was 22. She married Ernest Stanley Woodard on March 15, 1941, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on January 22, 2014, in her hometown at the age of 92.
