Chester Howe Shilling was born March 2, 1906, in Enola, Arkansas. He married Reba Louise Hathaway June 15, 1933 in Lonoke, Arkansas. They had four children in 10 years. He died March 6, 1993, in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 87.
