When Reba Louise Hathaway was born on May 14, 1910, in Russellville, Arkansas, her father, William, was 29, and her mother, Geno, was 21. She married Chester Howe Shilling on June 15, 1933, in Lonoke, Arkansas. They had four children in 10 years. She died on May 8, 2003, at the age of 92.
