Hazel M Meeks, 88, of Mayflower, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009. She was born on Saturday, May 15, 1920 in Rocky Gap, Arkansas to the late John William & Hixie Payton Sanson.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, & great-great-grandmother. She loved her Lord & was a member of the Assembly of God church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W Meeks; 3 sisters, Nellie Peacock, Lillie Stephens, & Ira Wilson; three brothers, William Sanson, Donald Sanson, & Newton Sanson.
She is survived by 3 sons, J B Meeks of Mayflower, Cecil Meeks, & Larry Meeks of Conway; 4 daughters, Christine Robertson of Mayflower, Margaret Rone of Benton, Beatrice Kirkland of Greenbrier, & Hazel Sherrill of Conway; 23 grandchildren; & numerous great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.
Burial at Mayflower Cemetery with Jessie Rice, Cody Rice, Michael Meeks, Bucky Meeks, John Meeks,& Scott Ritter, serving as pallbearers.
