Don Johnson, 68, of Magnolia, Arkansas died Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Christus-St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas.
Don was born September 14, 1942 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Bailey and Nancy (Hemler) Johnson.
Don served in the United States Navy and was a retired Veterans Administration representative for the State of Arkansas. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Johnson of Magnolia; sons, John Rich and wife Janet, Greg Rich and wife Stayce both of Magnolia, Robert Johnson and wife Michelle of Springdale; daughters, Marla Rich of Cottage Grove, Oregon and Carri Lee Jacobs and husband Mark of Ojai, California; grandchildren, Brad Rich of Magnolia, Jacob Mockbee of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Hannah Rich and Hayden Rich, both of Magnolia, Caitlin Harrison and Will Johnson both of Springdale, Ryan Jacobs and Evan Jacobs, both of Ojai, California.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 12 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Rick Moore officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., of Magnolia. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brad Rich, Jacob Mockbee, Hayden Rich, and Will Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Baptist Church, 207 West Union, Magnolia, AR 71753; Southern Christian Missions, 515 West Monroe, Magnolia, AR 71753, or the Magnolia Boys and Girls Club of Magnolia, P.O. Box 811, Magnolia, AR 71754.
