Patsy Earnestine Hamby
Patsy E. Hamby, age 84, of Calico Rock, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 in Calico Rock. She was born on July 14, 1935 in Guion, Arkansas to Fred and Mable (Marchant) Stowers.
She lived her childhood years in and around the Calico Rock area until she married on September 16, 1950. Her and her husband Philip had six children together and were married 56 years at his death. They traveled extensively throughout their lives together, she was a stay at home mother who cared for her husband and children with what she had available to her. Hard times, good times, and a lot of memories, but she did the best that she could with what she had available to her. After retirement they settled in Calico Rock. Her home was a gathering place for her children and grandchildren for many years. It was always a joy t o come home and enjoy mama’s cooking. She will be missed dearly by her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Rhonda Causby of Pineville, Arkansas, Margaret (David) Mann of Calico Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren: Candice Clark of Florida, Dustin Causby of Florida, Scott (Toni) Hamby of Pineville, Arkansas, Shane (Kelly) Mann of Georgia, Heath (Jennifer) Mann of Georgia, Shane (Airagee) Hamby of Resaca, Georgia, Nathan (Kari) Hamby of Georgia, Steven (Kayla) Hamby of West Virginia, Michelle Hart of Texas. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Jakayla and Jacobi of Florida, Tyler, Lyn, Mathew, Owen all of Florida, Ethan, Jaclyn, Hunter, Clay all of Pineville, Ashley, Carissa all of Georgia, Eli of Georgia, Dawson, Jackson all of Resaca, Georgia, Laylah, Leland all of Georgia, Stevie, Barrett all of West Virginia, Landon and Marcus of Texas; her nieces and nephews; and daughter in laws Brenda and Tammy.
She is preceded in death by her parents; children: Richard Glen, Brenda Mae, James Russell, Philip Junior; one grandson Daniel Kane Hamby.
Funeral services will be private at Table Rock Cemetery at a later date.
