FARMINGTON — Earl Carlton Osburn, age 98, passed away with his family at his side on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. He was born on February 7, 1921, in Rudy, Arkansas, to Henry and Bertha (Brammer) Osburn. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mary Ella Tolliver; and son-in-law, Mike Townsend.

He served in the Army in WWII and worked as a carpenter for fifty years. He retired from the University of Arkansas carpenters' shop in 1987. He was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Farmington. His world was his wife and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of seventy-two years, Virginia (Laney) Osburn; four daughters, Janice Tolliver of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Phyllis Hayes and husband Clarence of Mesquite, Texas, Gail Townsend of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Annette Foster and husband Wayne of Farmington; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. A private interment will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, at the family's request, to the Main Street Baptist Church at 49 W. Main Street, Farmington, Ark, 72730.
