When Merle Allie Wofford was born on May 7, 1912, in Arkansas, her father, James, was 38, and her mother, Eula, was 34. She married Robert Dennis Freeman on January 15, 1929, in Faulkner Township, Arkansas. They had four children during their marriage. She died on November 13, 2008, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, at the age of 96, and was buried there.
When Clinton Wofford was born on April 1, 1911, in Faulkner Township, Arkansas, his father, Thomas, was 26 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 27. He married Weltha Lucille Hogan on April 17, 1937, in his hometown. He died on July 18, 1980, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 69, and was buried in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

Merle Allie Wofford was born into heaven Thursday, November 13, 2008 at St. Andrews Place. Merle was born May 5th, 1912 to James Henry Wofford and Eula Lee Clements. She was a member of Wooster First Baptist Church.
She is survived by sisters Eula Rodgers and Nell Hogan of Conway, sons Robert Earl Freeman of Pasadena, TX, Jimmy Charles Freeman of Pflugerville, TX, Teddy Carroll Freeman of Apopka, FL, and James T. Wofford of Mesquite, TX; eleven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 12 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Clinton Wofford and daughter Betty Rose Fowler.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008 the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Phillip Drennan, former pastor of Wooster First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Online guest registry is available at www.griffinleggettconway.com.
