Dr. Bert Stark Jr., 75, of Conway died Sunday (June 6, 1999) at his home.
Born Nov. 25, 1923, in the Morganton community, a son of the late Bert Stark Sr. and Aura Parish Stark, he was a professor at the University of Central Arkansas, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Conway. He was a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, the University of Wyoming and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Eugene Stark, and his first wife, Sarah Ross Stark.
Survivors are his wife, Carlyn Lilly Stark; two sons, Larry Ross of Fayetteville and Dr. B. Bert Stark of Springdale; two stepsons, Dr. Lee Hinson of Little Rock and Dr. Wallace Hinson of Cornelia, Ga.; two sisters, Hilda Morgan and Tommy Nell Morgan, both of Lakeport, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Conway with Dr. Dale Wicker officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery by Griffin Leggett-Conway.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
