Faye Dene Faulk Moore, age 82, of Conway, passed on to her eternal reward on June 10, 2009, at Salem Place Nursing and Rehabilitation in Conway. She was born in Wooster on January 11, 1927, a daughter of Ira Washington and Lena Mae Hankins Faulk. She was a faithful member of the Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Dyess, AR high school and moved with her parents to North Little Rock in 1948. She completed studies at Draughon's School of Business. She worked with Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration as an accountant until she retired. She had a special talent of relating to children and teenagers, and became a substitute teacher in NLR Elementary schools for several years after her retirement.
Survivors include children: Dena Lynn Rust (Ray) of Dover, Doyle Moore (Tamara) of Conway, and Kenneth Moore (Tammy) of Dover; grandchildren: Clay, Rebekah and Michelle Rust of Dover, Amber, Felicia and Molly Moore of Beebe and Ashley Moore of Conway. She leaves a brother, Dwight Faulk and special sister-in-law Jean of North Little Rock, sister, Reba Lynn Russell (Oscar G.) of Sherwood, and her faithful caregiver, Tamara Gilbert, who devoted much time seeing after her needs. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and other relatives also mourn her loss.
Mrs. Moore was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She loved the Lord and spent much time enjoying the presence of her children and grandchildren. During her lifetime, her love of children was shown by countless hours she spent in teaching Sunday school classes and directing other activities of young people in church. Her legacy lives on in the lives of the many children whose lives were touched by this devoted Christian woman.
The family expresses thanks to those devoted caregivers at Salem Place Nursing and Rehab., where she spent her final months under their excellent care.
Funeral services will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, on Saturday, June 13, at 10:00 am, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery in Shady Grove, north of Conway. Her nephew, Rev. David O, Russell, will conduct the service. Family visitation will be held on Friday between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
