Alpha Mae Stanley, age 79, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas died Saturday, January 17, at JRMC. She was born February 10, 1924 at Banks, Arkansas a daughter of the late Jessie Jenkins and Docia Mae Edney Jenkins. She was a homemaker, a retired nurse and a member of Shepherd Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Rev. Durell Stanley whom she married on September 3, 1949; 4 sons Rev. Michael Stanley, Perryville, Ark., David Stanley, Wooster, Ark., Timothy Stanley, Benton, Ark. and Jeffrey Stanley, Springfield, Mo.; 3 daughters Marcia White, Springdale, Ark., Belinda Baldwin, Dayton, Ohio and Teresa Smith, Pine Bluff, Ark.; 2 sisters Sue Greenwood and Wanda Boyette both of Hermitage, Ark.; 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services were 10:00 am Tuesday, January 20, at Frazers Chapel with Rev. M.L. Fahler and Rev. Michael Stanley officiating. Paige Grider was organist, pianist Rosie McKinley and soloist Alan McKinley. Burial was in Hickory Springs Cemetery near Warren by Frazers Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Michael Stanley, David Stanley, Timothy Stanley, Jeffrey Stanley, Wayne White, Laird Baldwin and Gary Smith.
