Mrs. Maude Elizabeth McGehee, 76 years old, died at the family home in Alma, Arkansas on December, 22, 1960. She was the wife of Ernest L. McGehee a widely known retired Alma merchant. She had been ill for a long while.

Mrs. McGehee was born at Altus, Arkansas, the daughter of Doctor Cochran and Mrs. Lula Fain Cochran. She had resided in Alma since 1913. She was a member of the Alma Methodist church the WSCS; Woman's Bible class and the UDC.

The funeral service was held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Alma Methodist church. Rev. W. T. Watson was the officiating minister. Burial in Alma City cemetery was under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Mrs. John V. Burrough of Alma; three sisters, Mrs. J.O. Eudy of Ackerman, Mississippi, Mrs. Winnie C. Dukes and Marjorie cochran, both of San Francisco, California; two grandsons, Mack and David and one great granddaughter, Lee Ann.
