February 7, 1902 - September 9, 1955
Della Hesson died on September 9, 1955, at the University Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, after suffering a tumor of the brain. She was 53 years, 7 months, and 2 days of age. She had been employed by the Canning Company. Her last residence was on South Third Street, Van Buren.
Funeral was at 2:00 p.m. on September 11, 1955, at South Fourth Pentcostal Church, with Reverend Wilburn Scott officiating.
Della (Owens) Hesson was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Hesson; her parents, William and Sarah "Sally" (Wood) Owens; her maternal grandparents, Wiley H. and Elizabeth (Echols) Wood; her maternal uncle, Robert Black Wood; her maternal great-grandparents, Shapley and Sarah (Summerville) Echols and Wiley P. and Rachael (Inglet) Wood.
She was survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Narve A. Hesson; and her three sons, James Haskell and Cathey Eugene, and Jimmie Don Hesson.
