Hugh S. Lewers, 95, of Alma died Monday, November 22, 2004, in his home. He was born May 9, 1909, in Alma. He was a lifelong resident of Alma, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Alma, a former co-owner of Lewers & Bradley Grocery Store, and retired owner of Lewers Hardware of Alma.
Graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Friday at Alma City Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by a son, and his wife, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
