When Lucille Holloway Hargrove and her twin sister Elzie Lucille were born on November 30, 1914, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, their father, Marvin, was 27 and their mother, Evie, was 21. She married Earnest Clyde Hargrove on October 14, 1939, in Faulkner, Arkansas. They had three children during their marriage. She died on May 31, 1981, at the age of 66, and was buried in her hometown.
