Francis Clark "Frank" Holloway, 84, of Smackover, died at his home late Sunday afternoon after a lengthy illness. A Baptist and a retired farmer, he was born the son of John D. and Ella Parks Holloway. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Lula Fagg Holloway; one daughter, Mrs. Vance Martin of Little Rock; six sons, A. C. Holloway, J. D. Holloway, D. D. Holloway, F. E. Holloway and H. L. Holloway, all of Smackover and J. W. Holloway of Norphlet; two sisters, Mrs. Claudia Freeland of Arkadelphia and Mrs. W. H. Hugen of Malvern; one brother, J. C. Holloway of Smackover; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the family residence officiated by the Rev. D. D. McAtee. Pallbearers were his grandsons. (The El Dorado Times - June 1, 1965)
