George W. Roller was born in Virginia February 5, 1835 and came to Arkansas when a young man and had lived in Benton county since that time. At the age of 23 he was married to Mrs. Ellen Reid, who died July 7, 1901. Born to this union were three sons: James Roller, now living in Kansas City; John and Thomas Roller, both living at Brightwater. Mr. Roller married again in 1902 to Mrs. Anna Robinson who survives him and who has gone to Muskogee to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Cooper. Mr. Roller was converted and joined the Methodist church, South in 1902 and has been a consistent Christian ever since. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. McCullum of Pea Ridge and Rev. Seamster of Avoca. The services were concluded by a beautiful and impressive tribute of brotherly love and respect by the Brightwater Odd Fellows of which he was a member.
