George F. White, 74, of Route 2, Mt. Home, died Friday in the Calico Rock hospital. Funeral services were held at 2:30PM Sunday in the Mt. View Mennonite Church near Buffalo, with the Rev. Henry Tregle and Rev. James Hershberger officiating. Interment was in the Heiskill Cemetery under the direction of the Roller-McClure Funeral Service.
Mr. White, a retired farmer, was born in Kentucky on April 11, 1889, the son of William White and Mary Dell Ramsey White. He had lived in Baxter County for 39 years, and was a member of the Mennonite Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella M. White of the home; a step daughter, Mrs. Elsie Taylor of Coolidge, AZ; one grandchild; two great grandchildren; a brother, John White of Mt. Vernon, IN and a sister, Mrs. John Kemper of Mound City, IL.
