Elton Turner, 87 of Midway, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 in Russellville, Arkansas. He was born May 14, 1924 in St Louis Valley, Midway, Arkansas to Joseph Jackson and Esther Whitecotton Turner. He was an oil field worker, painter, farmer and a United States Army Veteran of WWII. Elton is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kathie Diane Story, sisters, Katherine Turner, Mary Jones, Ruth Storts and Ruby Dale Butler, brothers Loyal Turner, Selvin Turner, Stanley Turner and Raymond Turner and great grandson Cody Wiley.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Turner, sons Garry Turner of Dardanelle, and Larry Turner of Midway, sister Pauline Newman of Fort Smith, brother Sammy Turner of Midway, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren.


Emogene “Jean” Turner, 87, of Midway, Arkansas passed away November 21, 2015, in Midway. She was born October 14, 1928, in Sparkman, Arkansas to Ode Thedore and Etta Mae Hickman Reeder.
Preceded by her parents; her husband, Elton Turner; daughter, Kathie Story; great grandson, Cody Wiley; six brothers; and one sister.
Survived by sons, Larry Turner (Phyllis) and Garry Turner (Donna); nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
