Dumas

Dimple Sue Spivey McCarty, 68, of Dumas, died Saturday.
She was born Feb. 10, 1936 at Havana (Yell County), a daughter of the late Robert Edward Spivey and Dorothy Cherry Spivey.

She was a homemaker and a member of Rankin Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Hawkins and a brother, Teddy Spivey.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Raymond McCarty; two sons, Darrell McCarty of Monee, Ill. and Scott McCarty of Chicago Heights, Ill.; two daughters, Francine Gray of Bourbonnais, Ill. and Marshelia McCarty of North Chicago Heights, Ill.; four brothers, Dale Spivey and Lynn Spivey, both of Gould, Johnny Spivey of Fountain Hill and Tommy Spivey of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Linda Patterson of Gould and Gladys Hanke of Dumas; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Services with the Rev. Walker Gillbreath officiating. Burial will be in Dark Corner Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home with the family hour from 5 to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Garrett Bridge Assembly of God at Dumas.
