September 22, 1888 - February 18, 1968
Mrs. Ellen Viola Bush, 88, of Norphlet died in a Smackover clinic Sunday. She was the widow of the late Bill Bush. Born Sept. 22, 1888 in Union County, she was the daughter of John and Lida Davis Murphy. She was a life-long resident of the Norphlet area and a member of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lida Mae Dungan of Vicksburg, Miss; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Byrd of Vivian, La., Mrs. Blanch Freeman of Norphlet and Mrs. Barbara Cezeaux of Humble, Tex.; three brothers, Lynn Murphy, Johnny Murphy and Jimmy Murphy, all of Norphlet; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church near Calion. Elder E. J. Lambert, Winnsboro, Tex., will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Active pallbearers are Doyle E. Johnson, Ernie Johnson, Rhnea Trosclair, Jep Trosclair, Doyle Murphy, Barney Evers and Bobby Love. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.
