Cecil Monell Boren, 75, of Gould, died July 17, 1992, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born October 23, 1916, at Tyro, he was a son of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Jo Freeman Boren.
A lifelong resident of Gould, he was a service station owner.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Gould and Masonic Delta Lodge 752.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Cook Boren.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil Morrell Boren Jr. of Grady, Benjamin Max Boren of Melbourne, Florida, and Brannon Dale Boren of Pine Bluff; four daughters, Francis Boren Few, Joey Boren Holthoff and Brenda Boren Gasaway, all of Gould, and Annette Knight of Watson Chapel, a brother. Victor Boren of Morrilton; three sisters. Bennie McCool of Russellville. Mary Causey of Forrest City and Francis Gill of Boston; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas with Jim Smith and Joe Craft officiating. Burial will he in Dark Corner Cemetery at Gould

When Cecil Morrell Boren was born on October 23, 1916, in Arkansas, his father, Benjamin, was 46 and his mother, MARY, was 36. He married Mary Frances Cook on January 21, 1933, in Lincoln, Arkansas. They had four children in 12 years. He died on July 17, 1992, in Gould, Arkansas, at the age of 75, and was buried there.
