Lewis H. Telford, 84, died in a local hospital Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Telford was born in Union Parish, La., Aug. 5, 1880. He was the son of B. F. and Mary Francis Brantley Telford. He was a member of the Blanchard Springs Baptist Church and a retired farmer and dairyman of Junction City. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Hearing and Mrs. Harry Hudson, both of El Dorado; three sons, Alton Telford, Haynesville, La., Billy Telford, Dallas, Tex., and Archie Telford El Dorado; one sister, Mrs. L. C. Chisholm, El Dorado; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in Pratt's Chapel with Rev. Virgil Scott and Dr. Don Harbuck officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery off the Calion Road. Pallbearers will be Johnny Telford, Prentis Kinard, Otis Kinard, Minor Rhodes, Earl Hall and Mike Anglin. Friends of the family will serve as honorary pallbearers. (The El Dorado Times - April 1, 1965)
