DeWitt - Earla Catherine Wallace Hayes, age 81, of DeWitt died January 26, 2016. She was born April 11, 1934 to Jeffery and Jewel Eichler Wallace, Sr. She worked as a home care giver and was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include her daughters: Mary Ann May of Mt. View, Wanda Wilkinson of Garland, TX; brothers: Charles Homer Wallace of DeWitt, Donald Wallace and Benny Wallace of Nady; sisters: Velma Williams of Nady, Betty Houghton of Spring, TX; grandchildren: Bobby Wilkinson, Derek May and Matthew Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thomas Truitt Hayes, son, Darrel Wallace , sister, Dorothy Fowler, brothers: Jeffery Wallace Jr., Billy Wallace and Ronald Wallace.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Friday, January 29th at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Nady Cemetery. essexfuneralhome.com
