Myrtle N. Goodnight, age 72, of McCrory, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 27, 2006 at Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne, Arkansas. Born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, on December 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Mary (McCloud) Dorris.
Mrs. Goodnight had been a resident of McCrory for eighteen years and was a factory employee of American Greeting Card. Her religious belief was Baptist. Mrs. Goodnight was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Toney Goodnight; and one daughter, Mary Ruth Hayes.
She is survived by her husband, James Boyd of McCrory; one son, Michael Hayes of Missouri; four daughters, Sherry Bennett of Marion, Patricia Bench and Debra Wren, both of Bald Knob, and Donna Hoyer of Sikeston, Missouri; one brother, one sister, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Goodnight is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
