August 31, 1922 - November 2, 1969
Mrs. Ruth El Foster, 47, of 3300 Calion Road, died Sunday in a New Orleans hospital. Mrs. Foster was born Aug.31, 1922 in Magnolia and was the daughter of El Colquitt and Ruth Borum Curry. She had been a resident of El Dorado for the past year after moving here from Houston. She was manager of Snelling and Snelling Employment Agency and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Michael Curry Rogers of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a granddaughter, April Meichelle Rogers of Okla. City; her mother of El Dorado; and a sister, Mrs. R. W. Newell of El Dorado. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Chapel with Dr. Don B. Harbuck officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under direction of Young's. The family will be at the R. W. Newell residence on the Calion Road. Pallbearers will be James R. Meador, Robert Curry, Raymond Curry, Dale Bell, Jack Marshall, David L. Barron, and Raymond Fuller.
