Jasper Cutis "Jay" Markcum,53, of Greenbrier,died Tuesday April 19,1994, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock,Arkansas.
Born Sept.29,1940 in Etowah Mississippi Co.,a son of the late Chester Markcum and Myrtle Chalk Markcum Barden of Higden(Cleburne co.,Ark.).Jay was a maintenance mechanic at Virco Mfg. corp. and a Pentecost.
Survivors are his wife, Reba Markcum of Greenbrier,a son,Jamie Curits Markcum of Greenbrier;three daughters,Vivian Vanbuskirk of Greenbrier,Brenda Markcum of Henderson,Nev.,and Deborah Farrell of New Orleans,La.;six brothers,Dewey Markcum of Oildale,Calif.,Nolan Barden,Louis Jr,Dan, Charles, ,all of Higden Ark., and Darrell Barden of Greenbrier,Ark.; a sister,Ruby Butler of Calif., and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Higden United Pentecostal Church with James Tackett officiating. Burial will be at the Higden-McLehaney Cemetery in Cleburne co by Roller-McNutt Funerl Home of Conway,Ark.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Narkcum,David Banbuskirk,Ton Farell, Jack Janes,Dan Barden and Darrell Barden.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
