Francisca Terre Quinit Pierce, 83, of Conway, Arkansas departed this life on February 7, 2017. She was born September 17, 1933 in Sison Pangasinan, Philippines to Ricardo and Marcelina Quinit.
Francisca grew up and attended school in the Philippines surrounded by siblings and other family members. This is what formed her strong family ties. She was raised as a Catholic and joined St. Joseph Catholic Church when she moved to Conway. Although she was Catholic, she spread her love of Christ to friends and family of all denominations. Francisca met her husband in Okinawa in the early 1970's. There a bond was formed and she came to the United States and married James Earl Pierce in 1974 and they had one son, James "Jimmy" Earl Pierce, Jr.
Because of her love for people, when Francisca moved to Conway she took a job with the Mad Butcher Super Market. Her main focus, though, was always on her immediate and extended families. They were her priority as she enriched, supported and encouraged them to achieve a better life.
Francisca loved fishing and hosted many fish fries with all the trimmings. She often gave her famous egg rolls to friends and family.
Survivors are her husband, James Earl Pierce, Sr. of Conway; son, James "Jimmy" Earl Pierce, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; brother, Ernesto Quinit of the Philippines; three sisters, Felicidad Santiago of London, England, Conchita David and Pacita Paguyo both of the Philippines; two stepsons, Henry (Mae) Payne of St. Petersburg, Florida and Bennie (Karen) Pierce of Conway; seven grandchildren, Logan Pierce, Bennie Pierce, Tikiera, Crystal, Precious, James, Lakisha Payne; and a host of loving nephews, nieces, other precious family members and dear friends.
Viewing will be Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 24, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 E., Conway. Pastor E.C. Malbia officiating.
