Bernice Lee Neighbours, 83 of Conway, died Saturday, January 15, 2011. Bernice was born March 24, 1927 in Letona, AR to the late Hollis and Ivy Bennett.
Mrs. Neighbours was a member of Vilonia Church of the Nazarene. She retired from Conway Public Schools.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Milton Neighbours of Conway; daughter Ramona Dickens and husband Larry of Conway; brothers Lester Dickson and wife Harriett and Grover Dickson and wife Freddie; grandsons Jeremy Ritchie, Jarrod Ritchie, and Art Neighbours; step-grandchildren Alicia and Adrian Stulz; and a host of great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Hollis Bennett and mother Ivy Dickson, son Art Neighbours, and ten siblings.
A special thanks to St. Andrews Place, Conway Regional Home Health, Pastor James and Bonita Smith, and special friends Jean and Paul Hill. Memorials may be made in Bernice's name to Vilonia Church of the Nazarene, 1054 Main St., Vilonia, AR 72173.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Vilonia Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, with David Neighbours, Josh Ritchie, CW Everett, Dickey Neighbours, David Smith, and Joe Neighbours serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Dr., Conway, AR 72034.
