Roger Carver, 81, of DeWitt passed away October 11, 2016.
He was born August 8, 1935 to the late Amos and Nancy Holbert Carver of Van, Arkansas.
He was a graduate of St. Charles High School and a lifelong resident of DeWitt. He was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church, where he was a dedicated youth leader and Sunday School teacher for decades.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Lee Dupslaff and his brother Floyd "Son" Carver. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Winnie Carver, two daughters Julie Dillion and husband Ronnie, Jenifer Unthank and husband Tom, and sister Dorothy Butler and husband George. Also, two granddaughters Melissa Burton and husband Matt and Emma Dillion survive him.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. October 13, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church in DeWitt.
Burial in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
