When Reuben Eugene Davis was born on September 2, 1902, his father, William, was 36 and his mother, Susan, was 23. He married Sarah Cordelia Houndshell on November 11, 1924. They had six children in 11 years. He died on March 30, 1991, in Wooster, Arkansas, at the age of 88, and was buried in Faulkner, Arkansas.
