Meta Calvert Mills age 90, of Warren, AR died Thursday, April 24th, 2014 at Chapel Woods Nursing Home. She was born January 29th 1924 in Warren , AR a daughter of the late Louie Calvert and Lela Amelia Gossien Calvert. In her early years she worked for the Pentagon during World War II, was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death was her husband Fred A. Mills whom she married December 4th 1948 and he died October 13th, 2000. 2 brothers Edward Calvert, Harrell Calvert and a sister Sibyl Haynes. Survivors include a son Bruce Mills and spouse Betty Little Rock, AR and a daughter Bonnie Vasquez of Florida. 2 brothers Delbert Calvert and Howard Calvert both of Warren, AR. 2 sisters Jean Briant, Warren, AR and Jerry Neely and spouse Jay, Rison, AR. 4 grandchildren Anita Mills, Timothy Mills, Yovonnie Wordlow and Donovan Mills. 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 10:00AM Saturday, April 26th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann and Elder W.W. Hudson officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and Bonnie Vasquez was pianist. Burial was in Garrison Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Scott Neely, Ed Jobe, Gary Haynes, David Neely, Andy Evans and Andy Briant. Honorary pallbearers were Gene Calvert, Bob Briant, Randy Calvert and Steve Calvert.
