Margaret Jeanne Acklin, 91, of Conway passed away Monday, July 31, 2018. She was born October 1, 1926 to the late Richard Miley, and Iris (Watkins) Miley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Acklin; son, John Bruce; great grandson, Aaron Tutt; and sister, Joy McClearon.
Margaret is survived by sisters, Ruth Hibbs, and Jacquelione Humphreys; daughter, Joan Evans; son, James Acklin and daughter-in-law Pam Acklin; grandchildren, Laura (David) Campbell, Rhonda (Nolan) Allen, Tanya (David) Fitzgerald, Jenny Nokes, Mandy (Bobby) Jeanson, Lisa (John) Campion, and April (Adrian) Alexander; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren, one great great great grandchild; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends.
An open visitation will be on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00AM at Oakland Cemetery in Holland with brother Johnny Hoffman officiating.
Edwin Dee Acklin, 78, of Conway, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007.
Born September 17, 1928, at Acklin Gap, to the late Clyde Acklin and Thelma (Grisham) Acklin Carr, he was a bulldozer operator and a mason.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret (Miley) Acklin; a son, James Acklin of Conway; a daughter, Joan Evans and husband Ronald of Lanty, AR; a son, John Acklin and wife Pam of Conway; seven grandchildren, Amanda Reseccer, Laura Bennett, Rhonda Henderson, Lisa Tutt, Tanya Fitzgerald, Jenny Nokes, and April Nowlin; and twelve great-grandchildren, Dillon Ward, Alexis Ward, Dakota Bennett, Ethan Tutt, Heather Tutt, Abby Fitzgerald, Jacob Fitzgerald, Victoria Nokes, Madison Nowlin, Kathern Nowlin, Daren Reseccer, and Harley Reseccer.
He is also survived by his twin sister, Edna Brown of California; a sister, Pasty Goode of Conway; a brother, Jimmie Acklin of Holland; and a sister, Barbara Buerer of Holland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Hazel Cochran, and a great-grandchild, Aron Tutt.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Holland with Rev. Jimmie Acklin officiating.
General visitation will be a Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
