Catherine Elizabeth Ederington Quimby, age 98, of Warren, AR, died Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Chapel Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Warren, AR. She was born September 4, 1920, in Banks, AR, a daughter of the late William Wheeler Ederington and Lena Roark Ederington. Catherine married Paul Quimby October 13, 1940, and he passed from this life on April 29, 1993. Also preceding her in death was a son John Paul Quimby; brothers Travis Ederington, Irby Ederington, Ollie Ederington, Lewis Ederington; sisters Cordia Ederington, Carrie Mae Sellers Vaughn, Anna Ederington, Sarah Fite; daughter in law Donna Howard Quimby. Catherine graduated from Hermitage High School, was a retired employee of Sykes Flooring, loved to work in her yard, and always had a smile on her face. She was a Primitive Baptist and loved going to church. Survivors are one daughter Wanda Grice of Warren, AR. Two sons Hugh Allen Quimby and spouse Brenda, and Raymond Quimby and special friend Marie Robinson, all of Warren, AR. Four grandchildren Angie Minter and spouse Todd, Karen Freer, Rhonda Jones and spouse Glen, Scott Quimby and spouse Amy. Four great-grandchildren Jessica Rich, Reese Jones, Quimby Jones, and Jed Quimby. Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, at Frazer’s Chapel with Hugh Quimby and Rev. David Richie officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Scott Quimby. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Todd Ederington, Jim Ederington, Michael Ederington, Terry Ederington, Robert Sellers, Matt Sellers, John Sellers, and Jeff Sellers. Memorials preferred to Holly Springs Cemetery, C/O Betty Boyette, 672 Highway 160 East, Hermitage, AR, 71647.
