Linda Diane Boyette Lackey, 60, of Walland, TN went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Diane was born August 16, 1955 in Warren, AR. She was the daughter of Bettye and the late Lavon “Tootie” Boyette.
In addition to her father, Diane was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Ownie) B. Barnes as well as her paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ernie (Gertie) Boyette.
In addition to her mother, Bettye Boyette of Hermitage, AR, Diane is survived by her husband, Dale Lackey of the home; stepdaughter Kristi Tucker and husband, the Reverend Josh Tucker and daughter, Gracyn of Kings Mountain, NC; a special sister, Ruby Sanders and family; and many other loved family members and friends.
Diane loved to shop, play Phase 10 and cheer on her Arkansas Razorbacks. She enjoyed time with family and friends among God’s creation in Cades Cove of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Diane also loved nothing more than spending time with her granddaughter, Gracyn.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 9:00 am with the funeral following at 10:00 am at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, AR and graveside service to follow at Holly Springs Cemetery in Hermitage, AR with the Reverend Josh Tucker officiating.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm with a memorial service following at 3:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend, TN with the Reverend Marcus Kelley and the Reverend Josh Tucker officiating. Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren, AR will be serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Great Smokey Mountains National Park, 107 Park Headquarters Road, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.
