Lois June Tate Hamilton of Raytown, Missouri
Lois June Tate Hamilton, daughter of the late Eldous Tate and Clara Twilley Tate, was born September 19, 1934 in Lafferty, Arkansas. She departed this life November 19, 2016 in Independence, Missouri at the age of 82 years and 2 months.
She was united in marriage to Bernard Hamilton and to this union three children were born.
She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she was employed by Wilcox Electronics in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a proud member of the Salvation Army.
June is survived by: two sons and two daughters-in-law: Mike and Joni Hamilton of Kansas City, Missouri and David and Allison Hamilton of Raytown, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Wayne Walker of Raytown, Missouri; five brothers: Don Tate, Rayburn Tate (Janie), Delmo Tate (Leveda), Mickey Tate and Greg Tate (Reba) all of Melbourne; 11 grandchildren: Kristyn Walker, Cassie McGinley, Nathaniel Walker, Jeremiah Hamilton, Josiah Hamilton, Jessie Hamilton, Jonah Hamilton, Jordanne Ashford, Julia Hamilton, Callie Hamilton and Jonathan Cook; 13 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother: Bill Tate; one sister: Sarah Morehead.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne. Burial will be at Old Philadelphia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22 from 6-8 p.m.
