Billy “Blue” Lewis beloved son of Arthur Lewis and Norma Embry was born on July 11, 1957. He died May 25, 2009, at his home in Dallas.
Billy professed his faith in the Lord at an early age. Billy played football at Atkins High School He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and Kansas State in Lawrence, Kansas. He maintained a 3.5 grade point average in the field of Biology. He graduated in 1979.
Billy entered into Hotel Management, where he was featured in Black Meetings and Tourism Magazines for his outstanding accomplishment five times. He worked for the Omni Hotel, where he was called the Knight in Shining Armor in San Antonio. He also worked for the Ritz Carlton Las Vegas, Peabody in Memphis, Tennessee and Wyndham in Dallas.
He leaves behind his wife, Beverly Lewis of Dallas; his mother, Norma Lewis Embry of Dallas; one son, Seth Lewis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one sister, Remona Palmer of Little Rock, Arkansas; one daughter, Mikka Lewis of Olathe, Kansas; two aunts, Dorothy Jones of Chicago, Illinois, Margaret Smith of Dallas, Texas and a host of other relatives, friends and coworkers.Billy was loved and respected and will be missed by all.
