Mr. Williams was born in Palestine, Arkansas, the son of Omar Williams and Lula Bell (Lee) Williams. He was a machine operator, a member of the Church of Christ and a US Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife: Pauline Childers Williams; three sons: Allen Williams, Vernon Williams and Tommy Williams; two daughters: Peggy Ann Devasier and Eva Tilley; two step-sons: Giles Childers and Don Childers; one step-daughter: Betty Holt; five brothers: James H. Williams, John C. "Bud" Williams, Omar Williams Jr., Jack Williams and Jerry Williams; two sisters: Lela Bell Harper and Dorothy Walker; nine grandchildren and 15 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Peggy (Mathis) Williams.
