Joe Whitright, 63, retired warehouse foreman of Banks, died Tuesday in a Warren hospital, following a brief illness. He was born July 4, 1900. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lois E. Whitright; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Welch of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Ina L. Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; one step-son, Omar D. Brown of Little Rock; two brothers, John H. Whitright of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Jeff Whitright of Horton, Mich.; one step-brother, Virgil Gray of Fordyce; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at Wagnon Methodist Church, Banks, with Rev. B. G. Garner officiating. Pallbearers will include Donald P. Smith, Eddie McClellan, Joe L. Fowler, Carl Atkins, Joe McClellan and Charlie Bray. (Camden News - February 12, 1964)
