ALICIA -- Wesley "Brink" McGonigal, 80, of Alicia died Thursday, Jan. 2, at Harris Hospital in Newport.

ALICIA -- Wesley "Brink" McGonigal, 80, of Alicia died Thursday, Jan. 2, at Harris Hospital in Newport.
Born in Alicia, he had lived there most of his life. He was a retired truck driver, and of the Church of Christ belief.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Baney McGonigal of the home; three sons, Paul Young of Frankfort, Ind., Rickey McGonigal of Houston and Gary McGonigal of Walnut Ridge; four daughters, Hilda Branham of Memphis, Linda Mann of Ravenden Springs, Eva Davidson of Atoka, Tenn., and Glenda Smith of Nixa, Mo.; a sister, Gladys Busby of Alicia; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son; five sisters; six brothers and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the House-Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Walnut Ridge, with Donald Layne, Don R. House and Ted Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Strangers Home Cemetery at Alicia.
Active pallbearers will be Tony Anglin, Danny Andrews, Chris Ditto, Tony Davidson, Richey Smith and Bobby Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will include Michael McGonigal and Randy Long.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

WALNUT RIDGE — Arlene McGonigal, 93, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center. Born Aug. 11, 1923, to Charles and Viola Baney, she lived most of her life in Lawrence County.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Mann (Jerry), Eva Davidson (Donnie) and Glenda Smith (Owen); sons, Ricky McGonigal and Avalon, Paul Young and Gary McGonigal; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Hilda Branham; sons, Harold, Jerry and one infant son; and her siblings.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m today at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Combs officiating, burial will follow at Strangers Home Cemetery near Alicia.
