ROGERS — Robert Z. "Bob" Wilkinson, 88, of Rogers, died Dec. 2, 1999 at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1911, in Denton Texas, to Robert Lee and Essie Dobbins Wilkinson. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1937 and moved to Newport. A World War II veteran, he served in the Army Signal Corps in Europe. In 1965, he moved to Rogers, where he was owner of AMO Electrical Supply and Lighting Co. He retired in 1976. As a member of First United Methodist Church, he was active in the Men's Club, Thursday Morning Men's Breakfast and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He was an active member of the Rotary Club of Rogers, where he served as sergeant-at-arms. He had more than 30 years of perfect attendance at Rotary meetings and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Scholarship.

Survivors include his wife, Lurodine Dyson Wilkinson of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kaye Harris and John, Vivian Dunnaway, all of Rogers; and four grandchildren, Jill Montgomery Vaughan and Jessica, Jonas and Alyson Dunnaway, all of Rogers.

A private burial will be Saturday, followed by a visitation from 4-6 p.m. at the Wilkinson residence, 927 S. 14th St. in Rogers. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church or Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter, 12228 West Highway 12, Bentonville, 72712.

ROGERS — Lurodine Dyson Wilkinson, 95, of Rogers died Nov. 24, 2008, at her daughter's home. She was born May 27, 1913, in Cotton Plant to Jonas Franklin Dyson and Vivian Russell Dyson.

She graduated from Cotton Plant High School in 1931, attended the University of Arkansas, majoring in music and moved to Newport. There she met her husband of 57 years, Robert "Bob" Zoel Wilkinson. Lurodine worked for many years for Arkansas Power & Light. She and Bob moved to Rogers in 1965. Until retirement in 1976, they were co-owners of AMO Electrical Supply and Lighting Co., with Lurodine working in the lighting fixture showroom.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was active in the Willing Workers Sunday school class and the Women's Esther Circle, serving as treasurer for many years.

Lurodine, known affectionately as "Granny," had a special touch on peoples' lives. She loved being with people and making them the focus of the conversation. She was wise in her advice, quick-witted and gracious. Always putting others feelings before her own, she was kind and gentle-hearted, slow to anger and quick to praise.

Lurodine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Wilkinson.

Survivors include her two daughters and one son-in-law, Kaye Harris and John Harris of Rogers and Vivian Dunnaway of Rogers; and four grandchildren, Jill Montgomery Vaughan and husband Mike, Jessica Dunnaway, Jonas Dunnaway and Alyson Dunnaway; and one great-grandson, Zoel Robert Vaughan, all of Rogers.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at First United Methodist Church in Rogers, 307 W. Elm St., Rogers, followed by a visitation with the family in the church parlor.
