BELLA VISTA — Helen Alice Spear, 89, of Bella Vista died Dec. 30, 2005, at her home. She was born Oct. 9, 1916, in Hiwasse to Earnest and Virgie Matthews Holloway. She was a longtime resident of Hiwasse and Bentonville and was a member of Hiwasse Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Roy "Sam" Spear of the home; four sons, Dwight, David, Dick and Duane; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Roland and Robert of Meridian, Idaho; one sister, Laureen Stephens of Mariette, Ga.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hiwasse Church of the Nazarene with Roxton Spear officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Bentonville.
Memorials may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
